Armaton Latch makes hard work simple

Armaton Latch ­– is a unique dropsidelock solution for curtain side trailers and trucks. It’s a smart overall solution which reduces cost time and hard work. Curtain side bodies have dropside boards or side-planks it’s a part of securing the cargo and also a protection so the goods cannot damage the curtain or fall of the trailer. Armaton Latch contributes to increasing the securing of cargo, protects the curtain and makes the access to the goods easier.

Ingenious interaction between components

The secret behind Armaton Latch is the ingenious interaction between three simple components: hinges, edge cap and latch bolt. These replace the traditionally plank holder or dropside look which is normally installed on curtain side bodies.      

Reducing handling and risk of damage

By replacing the traditional aluminium plank with a dropside board you increase the security of cargo. Additionally you also reduce the personal injury thanks to unnecessary lifting and handling of the planks. The working environment will also be improved and maintenance costs will be reduced.

    

More efficient loading and Un- loading

The edge cap together with the hinges makes a complete dropside board easy to operate. In only one (1) movement you can open it. Instead of three (3) you normally have to do with a standard dropside board with 2 locks. If you have a plank solution there are even more movements than three (3) furthermore you have to store all the planks to reduce the risk of the fork lift running over them.

To open the side-board you only have to lift the dropside board up. There is no external power needed. To close it you bring it up vertical and hook it in on the latch bolt and it closes automatically. The hinges are so designed that you can remove or put back the dropsied board very easy, you no longer need to centre a pin in front of the hinge boss.

At the pillar there is only a latch bolt where you hook in the edge cap and lock. This latch bolt protrudes only 10 mm out of the pillar and trailer corners. There is no longer any plank holders sticking out that can be damage by movement of the pillar when you are loading or unloading goods from the trailer.

The edge cap is available in 4 heights: 400, 300, 200 and 100 mm, depending on the protection you need.

        

Complete system

With edge cap 100 or 200 mm you easily replace the upper and top plank holder. These are also hooked in at a latch bolt. This gives a more solid assembly between the curtain side pillars and the upper and top plank.   This eliminates the risk of the plank sliding out of the plank holder resulting in damage or loss.

If you use Armaton Latch the result will be an increase in securing cargo, improved working environment, more efficient loading and unloading with lower maintenance cost.
