DBI 150
DBI 150 is a drawbeam mainly adapted for bulk centre-axle trailers that require a low underslung coupling moved to the front. This enables a short distance between the truck and towed vehicle.
The drawbeam is fitted inside the frame, and permits a coupling to be placed close to the rear axle of the truck.

Drawbeam for bulk centre-axle trailers
DBI 150 is designed to enable the coupling to be placed at a low level and moved well up front close to the truck’s rear axle. It is mainly intended for driving with bulk centre-axle trailers. The drawbeam is fitted inside the truck frame, which means that it does not affect other fittings on the outside of the frame. DBI 150 permits most types of couplings to be fitted and enables full angular displacement of the towed vehicle’s drawbar.
Like all other parts in VBG’s drawbeam range, DBI 150 has been dynamically tested and approved in accordance with EU directive 94/20/EC.
Complete corrosion protection
The drawbeam is first surface treated with a zinc-manganese phosphatising process that reduces creeping rust if the paint should be damaged. After this a topcoat is applied through electrolytic dipping, a so-called ED finish. This method ensures that the paint penetrates into the tubing and cavities, and further improves resistance to corrosion. The drawbeam is finally given a topcoat with friction-charged powder coating. The result after oven-hardening is a bright, tough surface with very high resistance to abrasion, stone spatter and environments with a high salt content.
