Optimal DrawbarVBG Optimal is adapted for trailers which need to reverse onto the drawbar. It is based on VBG’s unique modular concept with a small number of parts, which ensures great flexibility and a wide range of options. |
Ready for delivery
The drawbars are already assembled on delivery from the factory. To simplify transportation and the stocking of spare parts the front slider is telescopically inserted in the rear member.
Easy to install
Easy to install on trailers, no welding or drilling is necessary – all the installation, including accessories, is carried out by means of bolted joints.
Flexible
Thanks to their module design and telescopic construction, the drawbars are available in lengths from 2150 mm up to 4520 mm. The C/C dimensions are 700, 900, 980, 1,100 and 1,200 mm.
Surface treated
The drawbars are surface treated with VBG’s superb process, basic zinc-manganese phosphatising, ED primer and a powder coating with a high finish, and have a first-rate resistance to corrosion.
Several alternatives
The drawbars can be fitted with either Vibra blocks or Briab brackets for attachment to the trailer.
Four different eyes are available: VBG Ø 57 mm, VBG Ø 57 mm angled 5 degrees, ISO Ø 50 mm and DIN Ø 40 mm. VBG Ø 57 mm, angled 5 degrees, is used where there is a low attachment point on the trailer.
Protection for hoses
The Optimal drawbars have been designed so that hoses and cables can be inserted in the bar for protection, which reduces the risk of hose rupture and breakdowns.
Spare parts
The module design of the drawbar, with a small number of parts, simplifies the stocking of spare parts and contributes towards cost-effective overall economic solutions.

1 rear member, with the fitted Vibra 32 mm rear bracket, including pivot bolt, (alternatively Briab including installation kit.)
